A Few tips for fooling your poker competition

Posted under poker bluff & texas hold em & texas hold em strategy

poker
An important facet in poker is tricking your opponents by making them think you actually have a good hand, when in all honesty it is possible you have the worst hand at the table. This is what people call “Poker face”, a straight expression for fooling your poker buddies into trusting in an idea that might be false.

If you have a good hand it is most likely going make you feel more anxious, could possibly cause your hands to shake, and your pulse rise. The previous symptoms are signs that your opponents may notice very fast, especially if they know you well. Try not to peer over at the pot if you are holding a strong hand. This is a tell-tale sign to your competitors that you are, in your head, counting how much you will possibly win.

In the condition where you have a horrible poker hand, try not to dodge your competitors eyes, keep your eyes up, and don’t be indecisive about your bet. In the event that you can prove to yourself that your hand is just as good, or better than your competitors; you will have a better chance of misleading them. Keep in mind to keep this as natural-looking as possible. Your use of body language and motions might be saying one idea, while your words and the way you say them are giving them a whole different idea.

One more crucial point of poker is to be able to read your opponents “poker tells”. A “tell” is a look or appearance that may give you an idea of the type of Texas Hold Em hand they are holding. One critical point to remember is when your opponent gives the appearance that he has a great Texas Hold Em hand; he, very likely, has a poor hand. On the other side of the coin, if he acts as though his hand is poor, he very likely is holding a strong poker hand.
